Discover: The Milwaukee Symphony

Vavaldi’s "Four Seasons" came to life in Milwaukee this past Friday and Saturday Evening.  Violinist Frank Almond’s performance was breathtaking. He joyfully brought Spring to life, Summer, though hot and humid, became a pleasant reality, Autumn was filled with emotion, and Winter, chilly and cold, was warmed with his magical touch of the strings.

Each time my husband and I go to the symphony, we’re charmed with the performers, whether it be the choir, the soloists, the small ensambles or the entire symphony. We’ve never been disappointed.

The Milwaukee Symphony treated us to tremendous talent  with Itzhack Perlman on his violin. The exchanges between he and Frank Almond added levity to the evening.  Watch Itzhak Perlman on Youtube below.

When Yo Yo Ma arrived on the scene, Joseph Johnson, principle chellist with the Milwaukee Symphony, also a delight,  played an encore duet with Yo Yo Ma, which quickly became my favorite part of the evening.

One really can’t go wrong with a night at the symphony!
